“McGruff arrived to the Police Department with a lot of experience already in place,” said Austin Dietz, a Meridian Township police officer.
“Our police dog McGruff will of course be present for this, as he’s done for years, to visit with families, check out the children’s costumes, and help sow off the police vehicles.” Bach said while visitors tour, they will also have the opportunity to register for prizes, guzzle Halloween treats, and sit in a patrol car. “The Meridian Township Police Department hosts this family friendly event as a means to open our doors to display what their police department is and what it has,” said Brad Bach, Meridian Township assistant police chief.
